This is a known issue with ADE and eReaders, though the cause is not known. Users will need to deactivate both their device and their computer, then follow these instructions:
- First with your device connected to your computer access your devices folders
- Go to My Computer on your PC
- Open your eReader from your Devices/Removable Storage list
- There will be an Adobe Digital Editions folder
- Delete this folder
- Close the file view of your device
- Now eject your device from your computer
- Now un-authorize your Adobe Digital Edition
- To do this open ADE
- Press and hold Control_Shift_D
- Select Erase Authorization
- Now reauthorize ADE
- Go to Help in the top toolbar
- Select Authorize Computer
- Reconnect your eReader to your computer
Your computer should automatically authorize your device.
