1. Which file formats work with the Overdrive app?

Overdrive only recognizes MP3 audiobooks and eBook file extensions only. For more information, email the library staff.

2. What do I do if I accidentally checked out a Kindle E-Book instead of E-Pub?

Amazon will allow you to return the eBook without even logging in and you can re-checkout your eBook. To do so:

• Proceed through the Checkout Process and Select Get for Kindle
• You will be re-directed to the Amazon website
• In the Middle of the page you will see a box underneath the Book Expiration Date with Yellow box that says: Return Book. This will return the e-book and you can go back to your Overdrive account and re-checkout the title.

3. How come there are more items in Overdrive when I view it on the computer as compared to when I use the app.

The Android app only shows items that are compatible on your device. Therefore, WMA files will not show up. Kindle files still display as users can install the Kindle app. For more information, email the library staff.

4. Can I transfer an E-Book from my computer into the app?

No. The app is designed for direct downloading. Other file formats may still be accessible using alternative apps or transferring from a computer. For more information, email the library staff.

5. How many digital items can I have on hold and checkout?

You can have up to six holds and six items checked out through Overdrive at a time. For more information, email the library staff.

6. What to do if there is a ’0×800045011' error when you try to transfer a WMA title to an Android device?

When a user attempts to transfer a WMA audiobook to an Android device, they may receive the following error message:

• An error occurred while attempting to transfer “title_name-Part01.wma” Error details: Unable to insert the selected title. Error 0×80045011: The rights for a file are not correct.

WMA audiobooks cannot be transferred to Android devices, which is why you are receiving this error. You can still enjoy audiobooks on your device. To do so, search for MP3 audiobooks from your library. For more information, email the library staff.
