Museum continues to document the history of our local veterans.
The Campbell County Rockpile Museum in Gillette, Wyoming is continuing its decades long effort to document the stories of veterans from or connected to Campbell County, Wyoming. The museum has an extensive collection of information on the World Wars and is currently seeking the public’s assistance with acquiring information on veterans of the Korean War.
If you or your family member served in Korea or elsewhere on active duty during the Korean War, we would love your assistance in gathering information on your service or your family member’s service. This could include military branch, service dates, rank, stories from their service, and photographs. This documentation will allow the museum to preserve at least the bare minimum of information about our local veterans and continue to honor their service and sacrifice in the decades ahead.
This project is being led by museum volunteers with assistance by the museum staff. If you have information or images to share, please contact the museum to set up an appointment with the staff. This will help us make sure we have sufficient staff available to assist with your donation. You can contact us via email at rockpile@vcn.com or via phone at 307-682-5723.
Media inquiries about the project should be addressed to Museum Director Robert Henning at 307-682-5723 or robert.henning@campbellcountywy.gov.
