Campbell County Public Library System Hosting Graphic Novel Character Contest
The Library Foundation Inc. (LFI) is hosting the 2022 Graphic Novel Character Contest. Entry forms are available at Campbell County Public Library (CCPL), Wright Branch Library (WBL), or from the library website at www.ccpls.org. Entries must be submitted at CCPL or WBL by 4:30pm on Friday, February 25. All entries will be on display at CCPL during the month of March.
Artists are once again invited to enter their original library-themed graphic novel character in an artistic medium of the artist’s choice in the appropriate division: grades 1-3, grades 4-6, grades 7-12, 18 and older, or an all-ages computer generated division (computer generated art must be printed for submission). Bonus points for incorporating the Campbell County Public Library System logo into the character. Entries may be submitted on the back of the entry form or on a separate sheet no larger than 8.5” X 14”. Submissions cannot be traced or copied from another artist’s work. All entries become property of the Library Foundation Inc.
Winners will be announced March 8. The Library Foundation will award the overall winner with a $30 gift card along with the honor of having their art utilized in various library advertising. The Foundation will also award prizes for first, second and third place winners in each division. This year patrons will have a chance to vote for the People’s Choice prize winner; votes can be cast at CCPL or on Facebook. The winner will receive $25 worth of art supplies.
