Wyoming Poets at CCPL

Saturday, January 15, 2022

Wyoming poets Nicholas Trandahl and Brandon McQuade join forces to present a poetry reading, book-signing, and open-mic poetry reading on Saturday, January 15, 2pm. Join us for a powerful afternoon sharing the spoken word.

Award-winning Wyoming poet Nicholas Trandahl has joined forces with Brandon McQuade, Canadian poet and founder/editor of Duck Head Journal, a Wyoming-based quarterly literary publication, in hosting a combined poetry reading and book-signing at Campbell County Public Library.

Kicking off the event, McQuade and Trandahl will read selections of their own published poetry and have signed books available to purchase throughout the event. In addition, following their reading, an open mic period will give audience members the opportunity to read their own poetry to the crowd.

Trandahl is the author of three books of poetry, Pulling Words, Think of Me, and Bravery, and a novel, Good Brave People. His next collection of poetry Empyrean is forthcoming. He was the recipient of the 2019 Wyoming Writers Milestone Award for his poetry collection Bravery.

McQuade is the author of the chapbook Bleeding Heart and the forthcoming poetry collection Mango Seed. His poem, Fledgling, was shortlisted for the 3rd Annual October Project Poetry Prize (2021).

Both poets have been published in various anthologies and literary journals, and both are members of the WyoPoets state poetry organization.
