C.M. Wendelboe to Speak at CCPL
Saturday, June 12, 2021
Wyoming author and former Campbell County Sheriff Curt Wendelboe is speaking at CCPL. Stop by your library for a meet and greet and to purchase a copy of his latest Spirit Road mystery, "Death through Destiny's Door."
C.M. Wendelboe, prolific mystery author and former Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy, is returning to Gillette to speak at your library.
Wendelboe began his law enforcement career in the 1970s in South Dakota towns bordering the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Indian Reservations. He later moved to Gillette where he was a sheriff’s deputy for more than 25 years, in addition to being a firearms instructor at Gillette College. Following 38 years in law enforcement, he retired to pursue his true vocation as a fiction writer. Wendelboe now revisits the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservations for research and recreation. His developing awareness of the Lakota people’s diverse perspectives on historical and contemporary issues is reflected in the themes of his Spirit Road mysteries. His newest book Death through Destiny’s Door is the fifth in his Spirit Road mystery series and may just answer the mystery of the burial location of Oglala Lakota leader Crazy Horse, who died nearly a century ago.
Wendelboe is also the author of the Bitter Wind mysteries, the Nelson Lane frontier mysteries, the Tucker Ashley western adventure series, and more. He lives in Cheyenne.
