Computers for Public Use
Computers are available at both libraries public use. They feature Internet access and the Microsoft Office Suite. You are limited to the programs and equipment provided by the library. All computers have printers available. The charge is $0.10 per page for black & white printouts, and $0.50 per page for color printouts.
Staff Assistance
Staff provides limited assistance for basic start-up procedures. If you have never used computers or have specific questions about software, there are instruction manuals, self-help tutorials and videos available for use. We also offer 1-on-1 computer classes are also available from the library to help you get started using computers. You can signup for a class using our online form or by phone. To schedule a class in Gillette call 307.686.0115, for a class in Wright call 307.464.0500.
Internet Usage
Campbell County Public Library System uses a PC management system to ensure fair and equal access to computers for all patrons. Tampering with this system or otherwise violating our Internet Responsible Use Policy may result in suspension of library privileges and exclusion from the library, as well as prosecution.
Campbell County Public Library System endeavors to develop collections, resources, and services that meet the cultural, informational, recreational, and educational needs of our diverse community of users. It is within this context that both filtered and unfiltered access (some exclusions apply) to the Internet and its multitude of resources is offered.

At Campbell County Public Library
In the Children’s Department
There are four computers for non-Internet use in the Children’s Department. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Over twenty programs offer learning opportunities and support educational themes for preschool through sixth-grade children.
There are eight computers in the Children’s Department offering Internet access, word processing and educational software to children and students from preschool through sixth grade. Students may print their work. The first five pages are free, after that the cost is $.10 per page for black and white printouts and $.50 per page for color printouts.
In Reference
CCPL provides fifteen computers in the adult area, featuring Internet access and word processing. Reservations can be made in person or by calling 307.687.0115. We also provide two scanners to facilitate word processing and Internet use. Scan and print or scan and email photos or text.
In the Young Adult Department
CCPL provides four computers in the Teen Room. They feature Internet access and word processing for students in grades 7-12. Reservations can be made in person or by calling 307.687.9227. Students may print their work. The first five pages are free, after that the cost is $0.10 per page for black and white printouts and $0.50 per page for color printouts.
At Wright Branch Library
WBL offers seven computers with Internet access and word processing:
- Two for use by patrons of any age
- One for use by adults only
- Two for use by students in grades 7-12
- Two for use by children in preschool through sixth grade

Scanners
Campbell County Public Library and Wright Branch Library both provide flatbed scanners to facilitate word processing and Internet use. Campbell County Public Library also has a machine available to scan microfilm, microfiche or slides.
