Festival of Lights
Annual Festival of Lights
Dates: November 17, 2023 - January 7, 2024
Fee: FREE but donations are appreciated!
The Festival of Lights has grown to become a regional destination and tradition for all to enjoy! Over 50 displays with more than 100 individual pieces and over 1,000,000 lights make up Wyoming’s largest holiday lights festival. Each year, Campbell County Parks and Recreation hosts this event which runs from mid-November through the first week in January. The parks staff prepares, sets-up, and choreographs the displays to a variety of holiday music making sure that all who visit ooh and aww to their heart’s content. Take a drive through Cam-Plex Park making sure to tune your radio dial to the holiday frequency to enjoy the Festival of Lights. (You can also enjoy an aerial view of the display if you fly into or out of Gillette.) Donations are gladly accepted at the yellow canister as you exit the one way loop in the park.
This event would not be possible without the generous contributions from our sponsors and community partners. (See the list below.) Some of the more popular displays are the Infinity Tunnel, Twelve Days of Christmas, the Nativity Scene, Santa’s Workshop, Penguins on Ice, Surfing Reindeer, Harley Santa, the Drummer Boy and sure to be the new favorite, our "Christmas Drive In." The drive in took the place of the Happy Holidays display in 2019!
