Transportation
The Senior Center provides door-to-door transit service for senior citizens, disabled individuals and the transportation disadvantaged. Our buses are wheelchair accessible and each of our drivers are certified in CPR, Defensive Driving, First Aid, and Passenger Service and Safety.
Cost for rides within the city limits of Gillette:
- Seniors, age 60 and older: (a suggested contribution of) $2.00 per stop
- Disabled individuals: (a suggested contribution of) $2.00 per stop
- General Public: $4.00 per stop
Cost for rides outside of the city limits but within Campbell County:
- Seniors, age 60 and older: (a suggested contribution of) $4.00 per stop
- Disabled individuals: (a suggested contribution of) $4.00 per stop
- General Public: $7.00 per stop
First time riders should contact the center @ (307) 682-8279 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday - Friday, to sign up for services.
As rides are scheduled on a first come first served basis, it is requested that you call a minimum of 24 hrs in advance to request transportation.
Punch cards, good for 22 rides, are available at a cost $40.00 for senior and disabled riders and $80.00 for the general public. Utilizing these punch cards not only makes it easier but entitles the user to 2 free rides.
