Computer Classes
The Campbell County Public Library System offers a number of on-request computer and technology classes for groups of three to six. Check out the topics by clicking on the tab to the right. See a class you'd like to take? Get your group together and give us a call.

3D Printing I
A student learns how a 3D printer works, where they can download pre-made 3D printed models, the tools they can use to modify a 3D model, and how to submit a model to be printed at CCPL.
3D Printing II
Students will learn how to download a 3D model, and how to modify 3D model using TinkerCad. Students will also learn about other free 3D modeling tools.
Buying a Computer Q&A
Students interested in buying a new computer can ask questions to learn what computer or device best meets their needs, what questions to ask a salesman and how to get the best product for their price range.
Clean up & Speed up Your Computer
After attending this class a student will have some basic knowledge about installing and uninstalling software, updating software, and managing the space on their computer.
Computer Basics
A student with basic computer skills gains an introduction to saving computer files and understanding how to organize them. Students learn basic internet terms and navigation using popular web browsers, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Students are introduced to Google search techniques to find information.
Creating an Email
Students will learn how to create an email address, the differences between popular emails hosts like Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail and how to remember and save passwords.
Creating Secure Passwords
The Internet is a powerful and increasingly necessary tool in today’s world. It is important to learn and think about ways to help keep your information safe online. A strong password is your first line of defense against imposters and cyber criminals.
Digital Photos
Come learn about managing your digital photos, from your camera or phone to your online albums. In this class we'll explore how flickr.com can help you organize and store our photos.
Email Basics
The student will learn how differentiate between an email address and website address, be able to compose and send a new email and view received email. Understand the difference between the inbox, sent, and trash folders. Be able to login into their Gmail account without assistance
Facebook Q&A
Take in a short presentation on the general gist of Facebook, then stay for a Q&A style discussion. Concerned about privacy? Need to know how to do one specific thing? Want to improve your newsfeed? Getting Started With a Computer
A student with no prior knowledge of computer use learns how to use the mouse to navigate around a windows PC.
iPod, iPhone & IPad Q&A
A student who owns an iPod, iPad and/or iPhone will learn how to navigate, customize, and be able to use their device in whatever capacity they’d like. The class will cover any questions that students have, and may cover any of the topics included here.
Microsoft Excel – Basics
Excel spreadsheets allow you to easily store, organize and manipulate data. In this class, you will learn the basics of Excel (inserting text, basic functions, AutoSum, AutoFill, and more) by creating a basic budget spreadsheet and making Excel do all the math for you!
