Roles & Responsibilities

Titling Department

Consisting of eight full time employees, this part of the office handles titling of motor vehicles and non-motorized vehicles, watercraft and snowmobiles, as well as the filing of personal, federal and state tax liens, marriage licenses and malt beverage and catering permits.

Records

The vault consists of seven full time employees who deal with oil and gas leases, royalty deeds and warranty and quit claim deeds. Mortgages and oil and gas liens are also filed in this part of the clerk's office, along with overriding royalties, affidavits of heirship, survivorship, notary public, military discharges and powers of attorney.

Payroll & Accounts Payable

Two full-time employees handle all areas of payroll from enrollment of new employees to issuing payroll checks and payment of all taxes and benefits associated with payroll.

Election Department

The Election Department works on every issue relating to elections including voter registration, election equipment, candidate filing and more. Each of Wyoming's 23 counties conduct independent elections but are connected via a statewide voter registration system.
