The Campbell County Attorney is an elected countywide position, which serves a four-year term. The office has 10 appointed deputy county attorneys who assist the county attorney.
Duties
The duties of the County Attorney’s Office include:
Representation of the State of Wyoming in all criminal proceedings before the circuit, district, and juvenile court
Initiating civil proceedings for neglect, delinquent children and children in need of supervision in the juvenile court
Initiating involuntary commitment proceedings for mentally ill individuals
Providing legal advise to all county entities regarding civil matters
Overseeing the operation of the Crime Victim / Witness Office, Juvenile Diversion, Teen Intervention Program, and Early Age Intervention Program
Active in the Adult Drug Court and Juvenile and Family Drug Court Programs
