BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONWorks with library patrons when the library specialists are not available, acting as a substitute in their absence. Completes tasks as assigned by the library manager, coordinator, or specialist. Provides customer service and completes library functions.
EXPERIENCEThree to four years related experience.
EDUCATION/TRAININGEquivalent of two years of college or trade apprenticeship and/or specialized training.
WORKING ENVIRONMENTMinimal exposure to undesirable working conditions; work regular evening and weekend hours as assigned.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIESEssential functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for activity such as sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching/stooping/squatting, twisting upper body and lifting an average of 25 lbs.; pushing and pulling loaded book carts; lifting and carrying audiovisual equipment and library materials.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONPerforms independent research to locate requested information. Guides and instructs patrons in locating requested information so that they become informed and independent users of the library's printed and electronic resources. Connects the community to resources offered by the library with emphasis on digital resources. Offers guidance and instruction to patrons on emerging technologies.
EXPERIENCEOne (1) to three (3) years of experience in a library or educational setting.
EDUCATION/TRAININGBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in library science, natural/physical science, social science, or closely related field.
WORKING ENVIRONMENTMinimal exposure to undesirable working conditions; work regular evening and weekend hours.
